What you’ll do
- Develop Android features powered by language, vision and speech models
- Build hybrid on-device/cloud inference paths with graceful degradation offline
- Profile and optimise model execution across the fragmented Android device landscape
- Integrate AI features into client codebases and coach their teams on maintenance
- Evaluate new on-device runtimes and advise clients on where they are production-ready
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of Android development in Kotlin
- Experience with on-device inference (Gemini Nano, ML Kit, LiteRT/TensorFlow Lite, MediaPipe)
- Integration experience with cloud LLM APIs from mobile clients, including streaming and retry design
- Solid grasp of Android architecture patterns and performance profiling
- Awareness of memory, thermal and battery budgets for running models on handsets
