What you’ll do
- Design hybrid recommenders that combine behavioural signals with semantic understanding
- Build embedding pipelines and retrieval layers over client catalogues and content
- Add LLM-powered explanation and conversational discovery where it earns its cost
- Run experiments that prove lift against the client’s incumbent system
- Tune for the business metric — margin, retention, diversity — not just clicks
What we’re looking for
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or equivalent experience
- Experience shipping recommendation or personalisation systems at scale
- Strong Python plus embedding and vector-search expertise (two-tower models, ANN indexes)
- Familiarity with LLM re-ranking and conversational recommendation patterns
- Solid experimentation practice: interleaving, A/B design, guardrail metrics
